Why the same epic behaves differently by session
A practical look at liquidity, overlap, scheduled data, and why an instrument is not one continuous personality.
An epic is a broker instrument, but its behavior is shaped by the market participants active around it. The same EUR/USD quote can feel quiet during one session and expand rapidly during another.
Liquidity changes the shape
Session overlap tends to bring more participation and tighter attention around scheduled data. Outside those windows, a move can travel through thinner liquidity and produce a different path even when the broader directional context is unchanged.
What to observe
Look at the time of day, the distance to scheduled macro releases, the recent range, and whether price is accepting or rejecting a prior area. These observations help explain the instrument without assuming every move has the same cause.
